nelson on the job

i had planned to add these two pictures to lynn’s post, but forgot.  beau did us all a favor by capturing these two pictures of nelson during lynn’s senior session last week.

to get just the right shot, we are (or at least nelson is) willing to climb trees.

i think this one is hilarious!

love you, nelson!

lynn

as you avid readers may have noticed, you’ve been getting many more posts from yours truly than you used to. it used to be ty and tyler with an occasional nelson appearance. but currently, i’m the one letting you in on our photographic adventures. i’m always so excited about the pictures themselves i can’t wait to get them online for everyone to see. but sometimes i think the guys do a better job as far as writing.

well, i need a break! : ) so, i invited my sister sarah to be our guest blogger today. she has known lynn since…well, i don’t know when. i just remember sarah and lynn together since they were young. and now they’re seniors. so, watch out as the comments may be a little more personal than usual!

and lynn, i give you permission to hurt sarah at school tomorrow.

______________________________________________________________________

I absolutely love the deep tones in this picture.

“Come hither. If you dare.” ;)

Classy. This comes in at a close second behind the next one.

I think this is my fave. Love the colors. Love the pretty lady. Love it all.

Aw. Embarrased pictures are the most honest. This is Lynn. : )

“Why, hello there.”

“Oh, you think I’m lookin fine, do you?”

“Tell me more.”

I can just imagine what’s going through her head at this moment… lol

Watch out, gentlemen. She make look sweet, but she’s all sass underneath. Just kidding!

(no. i’m not.)

“Sass? I am quite sure I don’t know what Sarah’s talking about…”

Oooooo. Signature sun flare. The best. She is definitely working the sun flare…

Also signature: shot in the street. LOVE THE LIGHTS.

These pictures turned out spledidly! Great job, Lynn! I wish I could have come along…oh well. There’s always next year’s senior pictures. oh…wait…

josh

nelson met josh downtown the other day for some senior pictures.

and no, josh didn’t plan his outfit to match the squares.  but it sure did work…

some old cobblestone.

a wonderful (in my opinion), grungy parking lot.

blues.

old school.

if you don’t know yet, you’re about to find out that josh loves his guitar.  he loves it so much it was in over half his pictures.

i love the moody colors in this one.

this picture is just perfect.  the gorgeous light, the amazing colors, the framing, and his expression all work together in just the right way.

those window panes are pretty cool.

i love how comfortable josh is in this last one.  i think it’s because this is very true to who he is and what he loves to do.

josh, thanks so much for picking us to do your senior portraits.  you’re the first guy in a while, and i think it was a nice refresher for us to get to go for a more masculine feel.  we’re so excited for you to see all the other ones we couldn’t fit in this post!

sarah: twilite

when sarah contacted us, she had done her research and knew exactly what she wanted: a twilite shoot at the fair.  we first executed this idea with our wonderful friends michelle + andrew and were so excited to get the chance to do it again senior-style.

riding the carousel.

on the swings before the ride began.

ty was brave enough to get on the swings with sarah and turn around during the ride to capture shots like this without dropping the camera or losing his dinner:

you can’t spend an evening at the fair without getting some cotton candy.  these colors are so fun:

a close-up.

and a profile shot.

sarah, thanks for the request.  you are gorgeous and tons of fun!
